Nursery -
The nursery provides a
safe and caring environment for children from
birth through twenty-seven months for all the
scheduled services. The nursery opens fifteen
minutes before the service and closes within
fifteen minutes after the service. Only a parent
may bring and pick-up children (no brothers or
sisters please).
Children are promoted out of the nursery into
the Toddler Classes on the first Sunday of the
new quarter following the child's second
birthday. A parent/guardian should notify the
Nursery Director, Sue Goda, if there is a desire
to promote the child early or to keep the child
in the nursery for another quarter.

SUNDAY MORNING PROGRAMS
Toddler Church -
PBC believes that even young
children can and should learn principles from
God's Word. Toddler Church offers a relaxed
structured time with singing, play time, stories
and Bible lessons which help to reinforce the
Sunday School hour. Toddler Church is for
children that are 2-3 years old, and meets for
the entire service. Teachers will not release a
child until the parents come to get them.
Children are promoted into Children's Church on
the first Sunday of the new quarter following
the child's fourth birthday.
Children's Church -
Children's Church provides an
atmosphere with many similarities to the adult
service, but because of the short attention
spans of children, this program presents Bible
lessons in a manner that is interesting,
understandable and relevant to children.
Throughout the year children learn about various
attributes of God, how to live as God's child,
Christian character, various aspects to our
church, and missionaries. Children's Church also
incorporates singing, melody bells, Bible
Reading, and memory work.
Children's Church is for children from Age 4
through Grade 1, and meets for the entire Sunday
Morning Worship Service in Great Room 1.
Children that attend Sunday School will stay in
their classroom and be dismissed directly into
Children's Church. After the Sunday Morning
Worship Service, please come back to the Great
Room and pick up your children.
SUNDAY EVENING PROGRAMS
Little Pumpkin Patch -
Pumpkin Patch is a special
program designed for Toddlers (Ages 2-3) to
begin to teach them how to praise and worship
our Lord and Savior through various activities,
Bible lessons, stories, and memory verses.
Children are promoted out of the Pumpkin Patch
three times throughout the year to coincide with
the Adult Classes. The promotion dates are
September 1, January 1, and June 1. (Since The
Pumpkin Patch does not meet during the SUMMER,
the children will join their parents in the
regular Wednesday evening service).
Critter County -
Critter County is a fun and
exciting program that teaches children about God
through the use of the alphabet. Each week the
children, while focusing on one letter, learn
about an attribute of God, an animal that God
created, and learn a memory verse also beginning
with that letter.
This program is designed for children from age 4
through Kindergarten, and runs from September
through May. During the SUMMER months the
children join their parents in the regular
Wednesday Evening Service. Children are
promoted out of Critter County when they reach
the first grade.
Patch the Pirate Club -
The Patch the Pirate
Club is an exciting children's choir club that
uses godly character lessons as its central
emphasis. Five purposes of Patch the Pirate Club
have been established:
1. To build
strong Christian character into
the lives of children;
2. To present a positive witness
for Christ;
3. To worship the Lord in song;
4. To train children in music;
5. To provide an exciting club
meeting that every child will
enjoy.
Each week Bible lessons,
Scripture memory, character building song, and a
daily devotional guide are designed to work
together to promote faithfulness and godly
character in our children's lives. In addition
each child will have an opportunity to serve the
Lord through a monthly musical presentation.
Through Patch the Pirate Club each child will
receive the benefit of both musical and Biblical
instruction.
Patch the Pirate is for children in Grades 1-6,
and runs weekly from September through May.
During the SUMMER months the children join their
parents in the regular Evening
Service. |
