The Plainfield Bible Church had its
beginning in the winter of 1960 with four families meeting in the home
of John and Virginia Sproule. As additional families were added to the
fellowship property was acquired and a building constructed on the
corner of Township Line and Dan Jones Road in Plainfield, IN.
Six men have served as Pastor at Plainfield Bible Church over the years:
John Sproule, 1961-1964
Jerry Tallent, 1964-1966
Charles Davis, 1967-1969
Tom Tantemori, 1969-1971
Gary Close, 1972-1979
Kevin R. Kottke, 1980-Present
In the fall of 1992 Plainfield Bible Church broke ground on a new
facility at 752 Dan Jones Road. In April of 1993, the first worship
service in the new facility was held. As the work has continued to grow
additions to the facility were made in 1996 and again in 2006.
Over the years Plainfield Bible Church has maintained its distinction as
an independent church. It is our desire to be known as a fellowship that
has a high view of God and a commitment to the AUTHORITY and SUFFICIENCY
of God's Word.
